2 Reel Fishing Adventures – Sooke, British Columbia
By
We went out for a full day of Chinook (King, Spring) Salmon fishing with 2 Reel Fishing Charters. www.2reel.ca We can’t explain how much fun we had with them and fishing guide Ron Neitsch. Leaving the docks at Sooke Harbour Resort and Marina, early in the morning, we arrived at the fishing grounds 10 minutes later. The water was nice and calm, something not unusual in this area. No ground swells and large rollers like the open ocean. We spent a full day with 4 large Salmon on the gear but only 1 in the boat. I can tell you though that the fun is with the fish on, getting them to the boat is ideal, but it’s certainly not disappointing. The battles lasted anywhere from 3-8 minutes. The fight is intense and physical. It was a blast. I will do it again with 2 Reel Fishing Adventures in Sooke, BC. Located on Vancouver Island, just a 45 minute drive from downtown Victoria, BC.

what a fabulous video! no mindless American chatter and overbearing music, just honest depiction of the days action. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sooke is a great place to live, especially if you like the outdoors. We have great beaches, hiking, fishing all year round as well as wonderful parks and views of the Olympic Mountain Range and ocean.
It’s still a very small community and you’d have to consider that you would need to drive into Langford (20 minutes) or Victoria (40 minutes) to do some shopping for things you cannot get in the area. For me, I like that. But I can see it might not be good for some.
