TOKYO – Blowfish testicles prepared by an unauthorized chef sickened seven diners in northern Japan and three remained hospitalized Tuesday after eating the poisonous delicacy.
The owner of the restaurant in Tsuruoka city, who is also the chef, had no license to serve blowfish and was being questioned on suspicion of professional negligence, police official Yoshihito Iwase said.
Blowfish, while extremely poisonous if not prepared properly, is considered a delicacy in Japan and is consumed by thrill-seeking gourmets.
Iwase said the seven men ordered sashimi and grilled blowfish testicles at the restaurant Monday night.
Shortly after, they developed limb paralysis and breathing trouble and started to lose consciousness — typical signs of blowfish poisoning — and were rushed to a hospital for treatment, Iwase said.
A 68-year-old diner remained hospitalized in critical condition with respiratory failure and two others, aged 55 and 69, were in serious condition, he said.
“It’s scary. If you go to a decent-looking restaurant that serves fugu, you would assume a cook has a proper fugu license,” Iwase said, using the Japanese term for blowfish.
Blowfish poison, called tetrodotoxin, is nearly 100 times more poisonous than potassium cyanide, according to the Ishikawa Health Service Association. It can cause death within an hour and a half after consumption.
Three people died and 44 others were sickened by blowfish poisoning in 2007 — most of them after catching the fish and cooking it at home — according to the Health Ministry.

I think you are being sarcastic, I’ve seen other answers from you about it.
I kinda doubt it, for alot of reviewers it works some it dosent. That’s why it has 3 1/2 star rating… Eh, well what can ya do?
Personally I think nearly EVERYTHING that is marked “as seen on TV” is a bunch of lies, and alot of the reviews are written by the company workers themselves. But what do I know? I’m just a little ol weirdo who likes to act as if he was british…

I went to my LFS and I was appalled at the condition he kept his fish in. Most were deformed or had horrible diseases and almost all looked underfed and skinny and were left in the tank with dead fish that had apparently been sitting there for awhile. The owner was just happily sitting at the desk watching TV rather than cleaning up the mess. Do fish even count in animal cruelty cases? I don’t even see how this guy is getting business. I decided to buy a couple guppies off of him in a “rescue” attempt. I don’t like the mentality that some people have that they are “just fish” because they suffer too just as much as any animal.

well no…except big fish. It does hurt my feeling whenever fish are treated bad…i had gotten a fish from the pet store and they told me it was a baby….NOPE it was a adult female that was pregnant and was sicka nd i felt bad for it and then it died before i got it home! ): i went back and screamed at them and asked them how could they let a poor fish just pretty much die? and now they have a new tank and many healthy looking fish! i wish the people in our world could imagine how they feel being trapped in a tank!!!!

My mom and dad have been together for a long time. However, as I grow older I am starting to see things in him that were always there, but I just didn’t see. For instance, he has an obsession with jewelry. Oh yeah, a lot of guys like jewelry, but his obsession is with my mom’s jewelry. He wears it around the house often, while growing up I thought it was just a joke, but now I see that he does it seriously. (Watching the news by himself with a pearl necklace and earrings on). Also he has a lot of body builder posters up in his garage. Oily dudes in bikinis.(he doesnt lift weights) Now he has a friend from work-Chad- that has been coming over to the house- a lot! Mom is getting annoyed with Chad, but is oblivious to what may be going on. She just assumes dad is kind of weird. Should I talk to her? Moreover, dad is going on a “fishing trip” this weekend with Chad and told me not to tell mom. She thinks its a work conference. Do I blow his cover? (no pun intended) Is he gay or weird

When I feel for my IUD string now it feels rough, spiky and thick, not like the normal skinny smooth “fishing line” texture. Me and my partner could both feel it while having sex. I’m not sure if it somehow got tangled? or got damaged by a product i used? I can’t seem to find any info online either about damaged feeling IUD strings. HELP!
Can boric acid or hydrogen peroxide damage IUD Strings?

I have a copper IUD which was inserted about 2 years ago. Everything has been going great and I frequently check the strings. This summer I have had a bad run in with recurrent yeast infections which i treated and then turned in to recurrent bacterial vaginosis. The antibiotics and all the doctor prescribed drugs work to get rid of the infection quick, but they also kill all the good bacteria, disrupting the vagina, and the infections always come back.
I finally have got my vagina back into order by doing a program that utilized hydrogen peroxide/water douches and inserting acidophilus pills in the vagina (the ones i used also contained boric acid)
Can boric acid or hydrogen peroxide damage IUD Strings?

Sorry but I think you are going to have to ask your GP about this, sounds as though you need to be examined so they can see exactly what has happened to the strings, if your partner can feel them during sex then you can’t leave things as they are.

As in “The White man stole our gold and diamonds”, those are just trinkets. The White man didn’t steal their farm land, water, sunshine, ETC. Black Africa is the way it is because it is full of Africans same as Haiti, Detroit, St. Louis, New Orleans, ETC. now. “Give an African a fish, he will eat for a day, teach him to fish, he will eat the bait”….Read that last line again carefully. He have a 50 gallon fresh water tank
We’ve had one before, just re-establishing it
We’ve let it cycle etc etc
Currenly we have:
6 red eye tetra
6 serpae
1 clown loach
2 clown pleco
we want to add colour colour and more colour
we want to add
20 cardinals (we’ve had them before, quite like them)
we also want to add more colourful ones
BUT we never have any luck with guppies
we fell in love with these yellow Ram Viel tetras BUT we found out we have to feed them blood worms. we are just wanting to feed all the fish the same stuff
what do you think about us adding
6 swordtail (i think that’s the name, they look like molly’s but with a cool tail) tetra
any other suggestions would be great
we are aiming for colour and keeping the food all the same
right now we use:
“NUTRAFUN, color enhancing flake food for all tropical fish”
this food has worked well for us so far

Try getting pastel barbs. They are very colorful, and if you have a big school of them, they will release their aggression only within the school.
