6″ plastic worm, Texas rigged with a 1/8 OZ bullet weight. It is weed-less so it doesn’t get caught up on weeds very often. Plus it is the single-handed best lure ever put on the face of the earth. EVER. Just bounce it along the bottom and a good sized largemouth will pick it up. Use 4″ worms for smallmouth. They like smaller baits.

Punisher lures are great. Check out the link. That’s the best thing to fish with around here.

listen to backwater.
And you can buy a floating frog and drag that over the grass and watch a bass explode on it.

If fishing from shore. Wild shiners is your best bait if you can find them.

I have always used a small rubber frog, and I always catch more fish than my fishing partners.

theres plety of things to use n dock but worms dont seem to work as well so try a tiny lipsless crnak bait or a plastick swim bait
