Fishing tips, blues/stripers, maybe fluke?
ByI want some tips on catching bluefish/ stripers in manhasset bay or the western part of the long island sound. Where, and when, and what to use. Usually i use diving plugs or whole bunker cut up, but does anyone have any info about this? I used to just follow the bunker fields and find blues underneath, but they are becoming more and more scarce.

Mullet in the day and eels at night. Fish the ridges. If you want to catch blues and striper Go to Groton, CT and go out on the Helcat II. The crew is great and the captain knows what he is doing. Go during the week if you can. I go every year. Last year I caught so many fish I was sore for three days.
