There are several crab seasons here. Ophilio (snow crab), red king and golden king. They start in late January and run through about April. Crabbers have quotas and can fish until they have their quota or the season ends. Usually a quota requires 2-4 runs at sea. Crabbers are equipped to stay out about 30 days on average. But remember working 30 or 40 hours in a row is common.
If you don’t know someone to hire you your chances are slim.
