how would you come at a 9 year old boy about smoking weed?
Bytheres this kid who i used to hang out with n we would go fishing n hunting n camping n i was a real good role model for him but im 16 now n i just stopped hanging out with him cause of my girlfriend n job ect. but i recently heard he smoked weed for his first time.

just ask him if he did, then explain to him the harms of it. and how he could go to prison!!! that should stop him. haha

Tell him there is a reason why the call it dope.
You could also bring him to an emergency room in your nearest city. And show him all of the effects of drugs and alcohol.

Reconnect with him and talk to him about why he’s doing it. (First ask him if the rumor is true!)
Talk to him it accordingly, if he looks up to you mention that you don’t do drugs and plenty of kids your age don’t have to do them to fit in.
If he’s doing it to escape problems he’s encountering direct him to an appropriate counselor and if the situation warrants it, inform his parents.
You might also want to mention the health effects of doing street drugs (weed is usually mixed with other things).

Simple: tell him the truth – its bad for you. Then prove it by showing him articles online. German scientists have done studies that show that spatial perception reasoning is permanently affected negatively if someone smokes pot before the age of 15 – that kid needs to stop – now.

If it was his first time, make sure it’s his only time.
Being 16, he probably looks up to you, so just tell him that it’s ‘uncool’ (in better terms than that).
If he doesn’t listen to you, then just keep trying.
If there’s one thing you shouldn’t do, it’s tell his parents.
Firstly you’ll lose his respect.
And secondly, kids who are reaching adolescence tend to do everything a parent doesn’t want them to do.

since the boy looks up to you as a role model, i guess you can tell him you’d never do that kind of stuff, and that its really uncool, and displeasing. i mean hes 9, whats up with 9 year olds and weed? no offence, but you should really get him to stop by doing anything you can do. take him to drug education orientations i guess. just stop him, and tell him if he continues on, what the concequences would be

Ask him first and if he did, explain some of the consequences such as jail time. Yeah I know he is under age, but he could still end up with a juvenile record and he could be looking at a lot worse later in life.
