Huge Stripers Inhaling Lunker Punker Swimbaits on the California Delta – Rus Snyders
By
Close up HD footage of Big Striped Bass crushing top water lures. It is Early December and the stripers have moved out of the San Francisco Bay and into the California Delta. The light wind and overcast sky has created a feeding frenzy. @Methos713 I use a uni knot when using 65lb braid, and a rapala knot when using 20-25 lb mono
August 8th, 2011 at 9:22 am
What knot do you use for the lunker punker or how do you rig it? Thanks.

cool video man! i’ve been fishing for over a year now and i’ve only caught 1 bass from the san diego river and nothing else.. i seriously suck. i bought a pole for catfish instead of bass cause i did’t know anything about fishing..
anyways, i recently ordered the 8″ lunker punker bluegill to go fishing next saturday on the shore in otay lakes. hopefully i catch something huge.
i’ll be using a calypso rod and reel with 50lb spiderwire braided line. wish me luck!
p.s nice stuff man! keep it up.

I use the wood Lunker Punker about 75% of the time. Because it’s heavier, it seems to have a longer glide when walking the bait from side to side. When there is a little chop from the wind, or the water is a bit stained, I will use the injected Punker with rattles. Both work well, it just depends on the conditions.
August 8th, 2011 at 10:30 am
is the injected lunker punker as good as the wood?
August 8th, 2011 at 11:11 am
$19.99 for the injected plastic Lunker Punker and $49.99 for the original wood one. If you go to the videos page on my website, you will find links to buy which ever one you want.
August 8th, 2011 at 11:20 am
how much does the lunker punker cost?
(did you order it online or buy from the store?)
August 8th, 2011 at 11:25 am
Lunker Punkers, Wakebait Jr.’s, and AC Minnows I will throw on 65lb Cajun braid. Opsreys, Mission Fish, and Huddlestons I will throw on 20-25lb Cajun fluorocarbon.

do you use any trout swimbaits? if so what brand and what pound test do you like to use when throwing lunker punkers and other larger swimbaits

great videos i love watching your technique and the baits you use. I may change up my style a little bit
