Looking for a Fishing Pond near Houston TX?
ByMy son is getting old enought so I can start taking him fishing. He is four years old and I want him to be hooked into fishing as much as I am. Does anyone know of any ponds where fish is stocked and guaranteed to catch some fish. I do not want to take him for the first time fishing and have a bad day where nothing is biting. Does anyone know of a pond or lake like this? I have seen them on television but have not paid too much attention to their location.

Go to lake houston.
Location: West Fork of San Jacinto River, 15 miles northeast of Houston in Harris County, Texas
Surface area: 11,854 acres
Maximum depth: 45 feet
Types of fish in this lake are:
Largemouth bass
White bass
White crappie
Blue catfish
Bluegill
But this lake is pretty big, so you can always go to a small pond in your area and try fishing there, you might even have better luck going to a small pond because you are almost guaranteed to catch at least something, but usually just bream (pronounced brim), since its his first time just start out catching something small like brim, use a small hook and worms, or bread.
If you want to try for bass you can use a larger hook and a rubber worm.
