My bf is into fishing. What could I get him as a gift?

He has a million poles and reels. He has special boots. What else could I get him that’s fairly inexpensive? (Salt water fishing btw)

A big tackle box. Maybe a nice trip somewhere where there are a lot of fish.

Maybe a nice new fancy tackle box?

My dad loves fishing so one year I got him a floating fishing light, another year I got him a catfish kit with lots of different pieces in it for him to fish.

does he like to cook them? some filet knives, bait, big ice cooler, etc.

the cooking utensils were areally good idea. but if decide against and have absolutely no ideas, you could try a bass pro gift card or something similar, and then throw in something sweet to make it more personal

he would probably be happy with anything that has to do with fishing.

A nice pair of fishing sunglasses, found at any good sporting store. They range from 10-100 dollars. A must have for me, and he really will appreciate them.

It’s a repeat, but a gift card for either Bass Pro or Academy. I’m kind of funny about recieving gifts for hunting or fishing and am particular about what I use. If he is anything like me, he’d prefer a gift card and be able to show you all that he bought with it.
Oh, ask his dad. Dads are a great source for info about sons.

How about a nice beanie or muffler to keep your honey warm? This would be a great way to keep him warm when your not there to do it!

Yeah a gift card but from a local tackle shop!

we like it when we get terminal tackle like hooks, shot, floats and thing like that.

If he has a million rods and reels like you say ;) , than like some other responders have conveyed, I’d look into a gift certificate and let him make the choices. Might add, by goin’ that way ya’ can work with your budget a little better ;)

    A gift certificate.

I never met a fisherman that couldn’t use a couple of Plano 3600 tackle/utility boxes. They are about $4.00 each at Wal-Mart or most anyplace that sells sporting goods. Even if he has some, trust me he could use a few more.

  16. bigren says:

if your looking for a cheep gift go to a local sporting goods store and pick out a spinner bait they work great

more expensive gifts could include a tackel belt, boat, fishing pole, real.

a gift certificate to Cabelas would be perfect.

I would consider a gift certificate to have a fish mounted by a taxidermist. It can be expensive. But if you do he will have a gift to look at from you for a very long time. Trust me, he will never forget that gift.
If he is a fly fisherman I’m sure he could always use fly tying material or a new fly tying vice.
A “boga grip” type fish landing tool is also a nice gift. It allows you to land a fish without touching it and also has a built in scale to weigh the fish.
