The first Ponta do Ouro Spring Festival will be taking place on the 1-4th September to bring on summer and get you out of the winter blues you might be in. This is the first Spring festival and is a opportunity for everyone who would like to participate in future events to attend and discuss what it is you would like to promote, events, activities etc. We will in the mean time try and organise a couple of basic events but encourage everyone to come to Ponta do Ouro to celebrate Spring anyway even if you do not want to be involved. Ponta has so much to offer and really needs a week to promote what it has going for itself like most of your other festivals in major centers such as the Knysna(Oyster Festival). Currently we hope to organise within the time we have the following: # Kite Boarding competition – Durban(Flexifoil?) vs Cape Town(Cabrinha?) # Surfing competition # SUP competition # Scuba diving specials # Dolphin swimming specials # Free diving/Spear fishing specials # Beach soccer event – ideally Durban vs Ponta to start with. # Photographic Competition – Land and Oceans Macro, Wide and Zoom # Videography Music videos- – Land and Oceans (could include Festival activities) # Music at various venues # Ponta Malongane Music Festival (not confirmed) # Maputo Elephant park tours Any other suggestion woud be welcome….
