@MrBluelogic I agree with you about preserving the coral. Spearfishing in the Philippines is more of a local issue because the local spearos only shoot tiny reef fish. This is crap because the fish can’t mature. I don’t shoot anything small and I tend dive deep so I keep off the corals. The protected areas in places like Bohol and Cebu are fantastic. I LOVE Balicasag

For ages, we have abused the reef. This is why the very foundation of our world ecosystem is now fast dying. Please help in educating how we can deter further damage and save the reef fishes, give them time to multiply and reproduce. Please be informed of what is going on in our planet.

wrasses help keep the reef in balance. do you know that our reef is fast dying? I hope you can think about how you can help the ecosystem, though it may take discipline and maturity.

If you check the book “Directory of Marine Reserves in the Visayas”by Dr.Angel Alcala, a world-renowned conservationist and educated in Stanford, you may understand why Bohol folks like to discourage spearfishing. I hope people like you can join this very hard fight against climate change and ocean acidification.

sir, sama ka sa amin, sa South China Sea, 8 hours by boat from Bolinao, tapos we stay sa dagat 5 days. You’ll have so much fun with Blue Marlins, giant yellowfin tuna and dorados. There are spots where you can do spearfishing. I once brought my green light that goes underwater and my compound bow rigged with fishing line and fiberglass arrows and, man, I had a blast! Dito ako sa U.S. ngayon.

Been to cebu before but this was my first time down south near Moalboal. Wish I could join you on a trip but I probably will not go back to the Philippines until 3 years as my wife is expecting.
The little girl in the video was a local girl who was chatting to my wife whilst my friends and I went spearfishing.
Be careful in Bohol they are not so keen on spearos.
