It`s not like I`m catching feelings for you.
Baby, I`m caught.
I`m so in love with you.
You got me by the hook.
I’m off the hook in love with you.
How can I fight this feeling?
I know I should be fighting these feelings.
It`s not easy fighting these feelings because I`m caught, and
I`m off the hook in love with you.

In the urban areas of NY, NJ(and other parts of the USA) “off the hook” is a slang phrase used to express the extremity of an emotion.
ex. That woman sleeps with lots of men. She`s off the hook nasty-She`s very nasty.
That outfit fits me really well. That outfit looks off the hook on me.-That outfit looks outstanding on me.

What I did in this poem was, I incorporated the slang meaning with the metaphor of a fish who is caught on a hook!
lol if you thought it sucked. Its ok.
Its not 1 of my favorite poems. I have 100 poems so HA HA, and I am still keeping them coming. (meaning I am still coming up with more.)

Using live shiners to fish in the everglades what would be a good size hook? Im not expecting the bass to be over 5lb . I have “Mustad 4/0 hooks” and “Eagle claw, Lazer sharp 2/0″ are these good? Should I get a different hook and size?

Question by polojeff2003: I have heard if you “set the hook” too hard a person can rip the jaw off of a fish. Is that true?

I doubt it but i guess it would depend on the fish and the strength of its connection of jaw bone to skull. In fact since the bottom jaw is the one that is detached, and the hook sets in the top, that’s part of the skull so the only possibility is that you rip a chunk of his skull out. VERY unlikely, and probably not possible unless the fish had a serious bone problem, in which case it’s was probably already dead if not about to die soon.
