Been seeing this guy for about 2 months and when we were in the “getting to know you stage” he asked me to go to a concert with him. Well he kind of forgot about it and its this Sat. so I was the one to bring it up. Now the concert is 2 hours away so I suggested we get a hotel and and plan to do other thing around the area and he agreed.
Now he was coming over to my house Friday(today) and we were going to plan the trip. He e-mailed me yesterday saying he and some budies made some last minute plans to go fishing for a couple days and he will not be back till sat morning. He also told me there is no cell phone coverage so he will not be able to call me. I was like WTF?? I think he expects me to make all the arrangements and pay for the hotel. I don’t even know what time he plans on picking me up on Sat. and I can’t even reach him till at least Sat am if not later.
Questions what do you think of this whole last minute “fishing trip” and should I be expected to foot the whole bill?

i have 55 gallon tank w/ bala shark, columbian catfish, 4black skirt tetras, 3sunset Gouramis,1 dwarf gourami,and 2pink gouramis. i mentioned earlier that i have a knife fish which is about 5inches in length. Now, i’ve seen some couple of white spots on its fin, after that, i made a 25% water change. However, the spots on the fins just rotted. but, now theres more couple of them “tiny white spots” on its fin and body. He’s the only with the “spots”, others don’t have one. I’m thinking it is ich disease. What do you think could it be? i’m not sure if its fungus or something. I’m really worried about it, and i don’t have any idea how to treat it. since i only have a 55 gallon, and i don’t have a quarantine tank. Most likely, do u think the the whole 55 gallon tank is infested now? what should i do?

I’m going on a low carb diet when I head back to school on September 7th. I know carbs are my weakness and have been the main reason that I’ve gained weight in the past 2-3 years (that and portion size). I’ve read that 100-150 grams a day is a good start place for healthy fat burning but I’ve also ready in other articles that 50-80 grams that spot as well.
I plan to excerise for 20-30 minutes, twice a week to start and gradually build from there. I’m not really going to count calories since I’m going low carb. I also picked up the cookbook “1001 Low-Carb Recipes” By Dana Carpendar earlier this month to help give me some ideas of what to eat besides lots of lean meat (chicken, fish) and veggies. I’m going to cut out sodas and go with tea (sweetened with reason) and water. I already know to be careful with juices because they carry a lot of hidden sugar.
In the end, I just need to know what would be a good amount of carbs I should eat in a day. I know too little can be dangerous and actually make my body want to retain fat instead of burn it. Is 100-150 or 50-80 per day a healthy, fat burning start?

if ur lifting only workout like 3 times a week. some cardio sessions on ur day off.
in this case, get about 150 a day, should be enough for moderate weight training.
if your not lifting and just doing cardio, again stick to maybe 3 times a week, 4 if ur feeling it, and like u said, 100-150.

Okay, so I’m going to the Pet Store (either Petco or Pet Supplies Plus) and am going to get a breeder’s net. Please don’t critisize this decision. My Question is last time I was at Petco they had a “fry breeder’s net” which was like a big net you put in the tank (which is what I want, a net that goes in the tank to seperate the mother from the rest of the fish), they also had a “two-way breeder” and a “three way breeser” and a five way “breeder”. I only have one pregnant Platy, but I want her to have the most room/circulation possible.
I plan to raise the fry in thie net I buy( at least until their big enought to not fit in the other fish’s mouth) I have a hexagon shaped tank.
So, my question is what breeder’s net should I get? What do you use? What do you reccomend?

To start off you should have a two way breeder for when she has her fry so they can swim to the safe place at the bottom. Then after she has had all of her fry remove her put her back in the tank and place the fry in to a net. So I would recommend getting a two way breeder and a net its easier that way. hope that helps!

Posted by: | CommentsSo, even though braid has a smaller diameter as well. So would it be bad to use 15lb camo braid spiderwire with a diameter of 4?? So this would mean I would be casting 4 lb mono diameter right?

My husband’s company is having a sit down holiday dinner at BlackSalt Fish Market in Washington DC. The food looks pretty expensive. I have never been there before and I want to look nice, but not over dressed. Should I wear a dress, or would slacks and a nice sweater do? What about dark wash jeans and a nice sweater? Or jeans and a blazer?
