Tying Eyeless Fish Hooks

How to attach a fish hook without an eye to the end of your fishing line. This is the knot used by Japanese commercial longline fishermen to attach eyeless fish hooks to their traces. Usually braid line is used but this hook knot also works when tied with nylon fishing line. This fishing knot is often used in flasher rigs imported from China.

I’ve just watched about 10 videos on tying eyeless hooks, in spanish and in english, and this is the first one that’s helped me to produce a decent knot! I thank you sir!!

Hi Paul love your shop in Onehunga, keep coming over now and then for bits a pieace but never get to meet you. mostly Saturdays… Anyways i wondering if you could make a video on how to tie my own flasher rigs please thanks I’ve tried so hard but they dont always come out quite a neat as the Black magic ones, Trying to save money, so thought Id DIY it. but need professional opinion thanks Have an awsome day,

sure u know the spider knots in ma country we use it but without twisting it and the 2 seprate lignes we tie on each 1 eyeless hook so i want to know how to tie them on the spider hitch????
waiting for your video or just show me a video how to tie the eyeless knot on the spider hitch (or on main ligne becz ur video must be the ligne cut from the 2 side so i cant do it on the spider hitch and tie 2 hooks )plz

In my country (Maldives) almost everyone uses eyeless hooks. i wonder which would be better.

Brilliant. I had been trying to follow diagrams which are useless. This video had me tying in no time at all. I hae been using thin nylon line and small hooks. tricky, but can be done. Thanks.
