What do you think of these poems that I wrote?

By

Best Friends

Best friends give you hope when you are all out
They’re the best,without a doubt
They’re always encouraging and nice
So helpful and they never charge a price

Dr. Seuss

He wrote The Cat in the Hat
But I’m sure you know that
He was great at making any rhyme
And he could do it in a short amount of time

Oh, The Thinks You Can Think
Like a hamster in an ice skating rink
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish was another one
I wonder how long it took to get that done

The book Green Eggs and Ham
Included Sam I Am
Dr. Seuss, Happy Birthday to you
We highly appreciate all you could do

Love

L is for lyrics to show that I love you
O is for owning your heart, which I do
V is for valid, which my love will always be
I love you so much, I can’t think of anything for E

Black Widow

There it is, big and black
Closer, closer up my back
It won’t give me any space
Because now it’s in my face

I wanna run, I wanna hide
I’m scared screaming on the inside
It won’t go away
I don’t want it to stay

All it’s doing is laying there
Acting like it’s not a scare
I’m extremely afraid
Of the big web that it made

My knees are on the chair
Go to touch it? I don’t dare!
Creeped out as much as can be
Because right now, that’s all I see
thank you so much and to answer your question… there was a black widow in my best friends desk and i’m terrifyed of spiders so like a black widow… creepy that stuff didn’t actually happen it just knda felt that way for a while…lol

pretty good! I really liked Black Widow. Did you mean the black widow literally or was it symbolic?

“Black Widow” was the most interesting. The first half was great, but I think the ending leaves a little to be desired. Some ideas to explore:
1) Do you want to touch the web? What is drawing you to it?
2) What happens to the spider and the web it spun?

Does the possibility of danger draw you to the web? Or is the beauty of the web draw you? Where is the spider in relation to the web? Is it sitting idly by, or is it on the web? Just some thoughts…
