Try fishing on the south side of the Robert Moses Bridge, where they are two piers. Next to the park police office. Fish between the two piers. Use spearing, squid combo. You might also catch a weakfish as late as mid-September. Technique, use a one-ounce sinker so your rig drifts a little. Also at least an 18″ leader.
