I would like to get a fish and i would like to know what is the best fresh water kind would be the best??

depends if you want to go with goldfish they are a great start or try neons hope this helps =)
How big is your tank?
A few guppies or a Betta. Make sure you have at least a 5 gallon tank, filtered and heated for either.
betta fish are great. they are fresh water fish and they don’t take up much space. also, like most new fish owners do, if you forget to feed it your betta can go up to 2 weeks without food. they dont poop much either so you wont be cleaning the tank all the time!
A lot of it depends on how big an aquarium you have room for and what you can afford.
If you’re looking for a desktop size tank you could get something in the 2.5 – 5 gallon range that has a filter and heater. That type of tank would make a nice home for a single betta.
If you’re thinking about something more like a 10 gallon you could keep a small school (5 or 6) neon tetra or male guppies. Or you could keep like 3 live bearers – mollies, swordtails or platys. They would all need a filter and heater too.
You could keep a single fancy goldfish in a 20 gallon tank. Goldfish can do well without a heater as long as your room is warm enough to keep the tank around 70 – 75 degrees.
There are many, many other options available to you. There are quite a few fish that are reasonably easy to care for and hearty enough for a beginner.
First time fish owner? Yea you should get a shark. Lol jk. Maybe a goldfish, a catfish, Danios, Tetras, or Chinese algae eaters?
I strongly suggest a Danio which are similar to tetras. They are fairly small so I would get 2 or 3.
Hope I helped
Most fish are relatively easy to take care of! I myself breed mollies, platies and guppies. They are all livebearers (meaning they have live babies instead of laying eggs). I find them extremely easy to take care of. I have owned several types of fish, and so far I think that the guppy is easiest. Guppies are also usually quite pretty with their small body and large tail. Plus they are very colorful! Males are the only ones with color. If you put male & female guppies together then expect babies in about a month! If you don’t want any fry, then simply buy only males. Many different colors of male guppies in one tank will look gorgeous!
Hope this helps!
